Project Ask

In September of 2018, the Indian court revoked section 377 of their constitution. According to which leading life as LGBTQ in the open was not a criminal offence anymore. This marked a momentous day in the history of the country. Therefore the following Pride Month, June of 2019 Publicis Sapient India decided to celebrate the same by launching an internal campaign. The aim was to celebrate positive change, community upliftment, people without labels, inclusivity at the workplace, peer stories and experiences.

The Solution

A team comprising of design, content, video and people strategy collaborated to form this awareness campaign. This was rolled out in different phases, starting with teaser mailers to induce curiosity followed by informative posters and merchandise. A community page was also created to share important updates, informative and create a network for allies. This was followed up with a CSR partnership with Humsafar trust to make a short film portraying the struggles of the LGBTQ community in the country.
